Blogs, forums, help, musings, answers ... all things Maple and math
A Web community dedicated to sharing experiences,
techniques, and opinions about Maple and related products, as well as
general interest topics in math and computing.
Using the framework of blogs, forums, and a more open
editorial policy, it provides a vehicle for enthusiasts to present their
thoughts, and for inquiring minds to get answers.
Why did Maplesoft create it?
To build an effective, efficient way to direct the
creative energy of our user community
To connect the Maple community to promote collaboration
and constructive communication
To offer a contrast and complement to the corporate Web
content.
Who manages it?
MaplePrimes is funded by Maplesoft.
In its first phases, the principal editorial and content
decisions will be made by senior Maplesoft or "close to Maplesoft"? staff.
Maplesoft will continue to fund MaplePrimes but the hope
is that editorial and content operations will quickly shift towards a community oriented model
Where is this all going?
Establish a great math computing portal and
a place for people to showcase creative thoughts and innovative
applications. There are lots of good math resources on the Web but many do
feel that there is a lack of true interactive communities and we want to take the lead
in this area.
Over time, our plans are to deploy new technology such as
MapleNet Web services, and online collaboration technology to explore the
possibilities for the online math community.
