There is something strange about it because I can't simply insert an image into a cell and adjust the cell sizes so that it all looks correct on the screen. When I go to Print Preview, the sizes are changed and the images are not vertically aligned any longer.

It work fine for me

Images in table cell; mysterious behavior
Perhaps a more clear description and example is the best way to go. In the attached doc, the images are the same height as the 4 lines of text next to them, and the cells are just wide enough to accomdate the images.View 1292_$RLM Maple 12 UNH template.1.0.1.mw on MapleNet or Download 1292_$RLM Maple 12 UNH template.1.0.1.mw

In the attached pdf doc, you can see how the images are not the correct size. I can apparently change their size, but only by changing the width of the cells that contain them.Download 1292_$RLM Maple 12 UNH template.1.0.1.pdf

I am using this technique because I don't know how to format the images and text to look like this in another fashion.
The doc looks the same to me in print preview as it does in the pdf doc.

A question of adjustement
Hi,
I had to adjust the height of the cell to make it right. Of course (and I don't know why), the image of the square look bigger than the lines but in the print preview, it's ok and in the pdf format too. Here is what I have done and the result.
