Maybe what David is asking is: "If I upgrade from OS 10.3 to 10.4, will Maple 9 stop working?"
I cannot answer that directly, but I do know both Maple 9.5 and 10.0 work with OS 10.4.2. [I didn't keep Maple 9.0 on my disk, so I cannot try it now.]

I have a lot of experience with GUI usability issues, and I have never encountered such a frustrating test of my patience as trying to add an equation in document mode using Maple 10 on Mac OS X 10.4. Here's the sequence of events I am experiencing: in order to add an equation: I type command-R, press return, cursor up to the newly created blank line, type the new equation, press enter, and see the wrong equation printed. That is frustrating. Then to fix it, I type command-A to select all, go to View -> expand document block and look at the offending code! But I can't fix the offending code! Maple won't allow me to alter the print((bad equation #))??? That is doubly frustrating. Maple is required to have a usable GUI! This is a warranty issue!
Yes
Yes. Maple 9 was the first version to support OS X.
