timing of subscription notifications
181Well, I started a thread that is getting lots of discussion. That's good. But I'm getting an e-mail notification of new posts many times a day. Now in my account preferences I have checked "Once a Day" but I guess that is only for private messages. Is there a way to reduce forum subscription notices to once a day?

The module that we are using for the notifications, subscriptions does not have the ability to notify you only once a day. I haven't seen a module that offers the same functionality and also lets you lump the subscriptions into a single daily digest. If someone knows of a Drupal module that does what we want, I'd be glad to try it out.
You are correct that the "once a day" preference is only for the private messages.
