How about Maple and the Blackberry?

      <itunes:summary>
Aren't Maplesoft and RIM practically next door neighbors? However a blackberry being more business audience focussed I can see why you opted to the ipad, because it plays out to a much bigger audience. I do not own anything apple/mac .. at least not yet, I heard a business commentator mention after Steve Jobs passed away that he would be surprised if Apple was still around in 10 years ... just something I heard in the last week but also to be taken with a grain of salt. Will the maple player work on the blackberry?
</itunes:summary>

      <itunes:summary>
Java has the slogan "Write once, run anywhere". Of course in practice it's "Write once, debug everywhere". But in principle it should be possible to port Maple to any platform that runs Java. Unfortunately the iPad doesn't support Java, which means to put the Maple GUI on the iPad you have to rebuild it from scratch. It looks to me (from a brief web search) like the BlackBerry PlayBook does support Java, so in principle it ought to be much easier to port Maple to it. However there's still that "debug everywhere". In the end, I suppose it will come down to a question of whether the potential market is enough to offset the cost of making a version of Maple that runs on any particular system.
</itunes:summary>

      <itunes:summary>
I mean... my acer iconia tab is just dying to have this on it. I'm not a particularly big fan of apple and I would imagine more computer geeks prefer android... just a thought.

So... any clues as to the availability of an android app?
</itunes:summary>

Suggestion: Develop a "player" for Windows -similar to Maple player for iPad

      <itunes:summary>
Mathematica has a great "player" for Windows and Mac OS: http://www.wolfram.com/cdf-player/. Some years ago, at the OAME conference, I suggested to a Maple representative that Maple should have a similar product. Now you have it for the iPad. I wish you also had it for regular computers too.
