The latest comments added to the Post, Collecting Earthquake data with maple 130459 Wed, 08 Feb 2012 12:33:42 Z pagan pagan indeed http://www.mapleprimes.com/posts/130130-Collecting-Earthquake-Data-With-Maple?ref=Feed:MaplePrimes:Collecting Earthquake data with maple:Comments#comment130477 Indeed, and there is a story behind it.  Work started on that project as early as June 22, 2010 initiated by me when I contacted the author about how to download earthquake data using the internet on a different site named seismon using sockets.  I then asked about using HTTP[Get] which, was undocumented, when I had a problem downloading from the site in my application.  Apparently the key was hidden control characters in the loaded information causing errors.  Simply getting Maple to find and remove the control characters worked nicely.  He sent me his complete application on Aug 4, 2010 which later appeared, to his full credit as you know, in the application center on April 14, 2011 for Maple 15.  Finding the control character problem was the key, and allowed me to complete and continue with my applications one of which I had roughly completed Aug 17, 2010 (the application as above).  The author had mentioned it would make a great blog and that he would make reference to me in the post, I don't think that happened.  Of course that application is all of his work, but having my name attached to the originality of the idea for Maple was gone.  In any case thumbs up to his work on the project and thanks to him, the error Maple kept throwing with HTTP[Get] for certain data was solved.
