<itunes:summary>Vista is not listed as an <a href="http://maplesoft.com/products/maple/systemreq/index.aspx">official platform</a>, so I would not be surprised it Maple did not "quite" work on it.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Official platform or not, Vista is a Windows version, so software designed for Windows should be able to install. If not, the installer is b0rken.

I already tried the XP compatibility mode, doesn't work either (same problem). Any further suggestions?

<itunes:summary>I'm using Maple 10 through my school with a network installer that asks for some sort of school key server to restrict access (I think it's very similar to the one that is being described here, though). I noticed that with Aero on, the installer was forcing the interface to switch to basic mode, and the windows seemed to be glitched up (buttons didn't show up and such). I went to the Control Panel, turned the display theme to Classic (the one that looks like Windows 2000), and after setting the compatibility mode to XP SP2 and running as an admin, installed it successfully.

Since this is a Vista install, and computers with Vista usually have a lot of RAM, this might be helpful after you successfully install: http://www.maplesoft.com/support/faqs/Maple10/Installation/2.aspx</itunes:summary>
