<itunes:summary>I find printer friendly version very convenient for archiving. However it seems to be restricted to a single message. I would like to save a complete thread in a printer friendly version.

If not possible, could you add this option?

I agree with Alejandro. And it would allow to print as ps or pdf
which holds graphics ...

Additionally: if I say "login to reply" in a contribution it would be
good to directly jump into it - concurrently after login I am thrown
onto the main page and have to search the thread gain (which may be
nasty, if it is an elder thread).

Also I would prefer a simple way to switch off the stuff at the left
right on the screen (say by a button on/off) - this covers half of
the screen. At least it should vanish, if I am reading _in_ a thread,
then it is really unimportant and disturbing (ok, a bit can be done
through personal settings, but I read without login - and always do
enter the board through bookmarked www.mapleprimes.com/tracker to see
just the latest contributions).

And, well, the box to enter text for reply should be as large as the
screen - it is really to small.

<itunes:summary>The ability to print an entire thread including the message and replies has been requested before. I will look into adding this feature, I definitely see how it could be very useful for this site.

<itunes:summary>I don't expect to include a feature to print to PS or PDF, there are a number of free applicaitions that you can download that you can install on your computer allowing you to print directly to PDF from any application. My current fav is Cute PDF which works quite well.

When you log in you should be taken directly to the same page that you logged in from. Can you give me an example of when this does not work? Please include the URL of the page that you are logging in from.

There is no way to switch off the sidebars, they are essential to the functioning of the site. What resolution is your monitor set to? I find that in 1024x768 the sidebars are not in my way.

You can resize the box for entering text yourself. Try clicking and dragging the grey bar just below the reply box.

      <itunes:summary>Thank you for your answer.

I did not ask to include ps or pdf functionality, I said it would allow
to print through such.

For login see 3 screen shots: choose to be in a thread, klick on login
to reply and then the 3rd shows you are at the main URL. You will find
the URLs each in the screen shots.
http://www.mapleprimes.com/files/102_reply_in_thread.zip

The 1st shot also shows the problem with the side bars. Fine if you have
no problems, so no reason to change.

And for the reply box there is no way to change width. But height. It
needs some time until the screen stabilizes again and decides to have
a hight for the box - and is fun to wait again if you move the mouse
cursor into it. Finally it shrinked to 1 line space :-)

So far for my last feedback on the page, I do not want to see perfect
solutions to be improved and probably waste your time. Or mine.

<itunes:summary>I see your login problem comes from the fact that you are clicking on the Login link on the top right of the page. Try using the form that is on the left hand side. That form will take you back to the same page that you filled it out on.

As for the sidebards, I see in the screenshot that the problem arises when users post lines that have no spaces in them, thus not line breaking properly. I'll look into fixing that.

When I use the reply box, it already is using the entire width of my screen. Can you please post a screenshot showing how the box looks for you? What version of Mozilla are you using? I am using the latest Firefox and have also tested on IE 6 and 7 and the resizing works fine.
