&lt;p&gt;You can enter the command exp using either the 1-D or 2-D calling sequence. For example, exp(-1) is equivalent to &lt;img class="math" src="http://www.mapleprimes.com/MapleImage.ashx?f=bf3023388cf146b8eb84da5af1f91bd2.gif" alt="exp(-1)"&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Note that the 2-D calling sequence can only be entered by using the palettes or &lt;a href="http://www.maplesoft.com/support/help/Maple/view.aspx?path=worksheet/expressions/completecommand"&gt;command completion&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
