      <title>It's not working</title>

&lt;p&gt;It's not working!&amp;nbsp; I forgot to tell you that this was an extract of a &lt;strong&gt;SINGLE&lt;/strong&gt; line containing 2024 character.&amp;nbsp; Here how it apprears in Maple after the readdata:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;It look to me as a sequence of part of the data.&amp;nbsp; This leaded me to think that the problem was the file and the way it was store.&amp;nbsp; I opened a text editor (Notepad++) and I saw that it was stored with the "Automatic line wrapping".&amp;nbsp; So I was seeing a lot of line each with the [LF] code at the end.&amp;nbsp; So I "Select all" and choose "join lines".&amp;nbsp; And now I am seeing only one line of length 2024.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I re-execute the Maple file and the output is not pretty:&lt;/p&gt;

      <itunes:summary>&lt;p&gt;Both method (yours and Christopher2222) worked.&amp;nbsp; But I had to do some changes in the source file first.&amp;nbsp; Looking at the first three characters of str (after I saved it as one line of 2024 characters in utf-8), I realized that they were not part of the initial line that start in fact with a &lt;strong&gt;m&lt;/strong&gt; (so it was a false location - 935 instead of 932).&amp;nbsp; So I went back to the source file and realize that, in the line, they were a bunch of "space" characters.&amp;nbsp; So with Notepad++, I delete them and save the file again by converting the line with ANSI code this time.&amp;nbsp; Reloading&amp;nbsp; and executing the Maple file seams to have solve the problem.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I am happy to have use the StringTools package.&amp;nbsp; All I need to do is to check if it's working under Linux and a way to see, say, the five letters befor and after the Qxp+zr6km.&amp;nbsp; But I can do it with my text editor so why bother in Maple?&amp;nbsp; By the way, the command:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Replacing "go to the moon in this decade" with "use Maple",&amp;nbsp;or some variation thereof, makes the quote a little better I think.&amp;nbsp; I'm not saying it's harder with Maple but it certainly can make things a lot more interesting.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;To quote John F. Kennedy "We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, ... "&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Replacing "go to the moon in this decade" with "use Maple",&amp;nbsp;or some variation thereof, makes the quote a little better I think.&amp;nbsp; I'm not saying it's harder with Maple but it certainly can make things a lot more interesting.&lt;/p&gt;
