<itunes:summary>
Because nobody answers this question as yet, I state the answer in the case MSWord 2003. Hope, it would be helpful.
The copy-and-paste method does not work here. However, the insertion can be done as follows.
1. Open an .eps picture by GSview.
2. By Menu/Edit/Copy copy it.
3. Open an existing document or create a new one in MSWord 2003.
4. By Menu/Edit/Paste insert the picture in this document.
See plot.zip (compressed .eps file) and plot.doc . I will not discuss the quality of the result.
</itunes:summary>

      <itunes:summary>
I don't know about msword, can it take pdf files? if so, you can convert from postscript to pdf without much loss in quality. Otherwise have you tried a screen capture? I find that often is not too bad. I use irfanview, freeware, I do a screen capture then paste into irfanview, then crop, it's alright for some graphs, not so good for others. The pdf solution I find to be usually very good.
</itunes:summary>

resolution

      <itunes:summary>
You can control the size (and resolution) of an exported plot in two ways:

1) use the `plotsetup` command to make Maple display the plot straight to a file, and use that commands options to set the size of the output.

or, keeping the diplsya of the plot inlined in the GUI,

2) increase the actual size of the plot frame. The larger the plot's displayed image, the finer the resoution of what is exported (as well as the greater size) using the right-click context-sensitive menu.

You can downsize the image *AFTER* exporting, and often retain greater resolution.

For example, small symbolsize will show up (no matter how densely clustered in the plot) *ONLY* if the plot's displayed image is large enough. Yes, this is a very bad design.

I don't know how you're exporting it right now (command, or right-click). Perhaps this can help.
</itunes:summary>

With irfanview, it looks better

      <itunes:summary>
Hi, I found the irfanview gives the best result after copy-and-paste, and the final resolution looks much better.

I used right-click to export a eps format. However, it seems useless by increase-and-downsize handling.

Thanks a lot!
</itunes:summary>
