I guess, that you have to register again (and install, of course) , since the hard disk ID is used for that as other hardware data as well.

If this is a Windows laptop, you will need to uninstall Maple from the old hard drive, and then contact Maplesoft Customer Support to have them deactivate your old license file. This will allow you to install and activate Maple on the new hard drive once it is installed in your computer.

If this is a Mac or Linux laptop, you should uninstall Maple from the old hard drive before replacing it, and then you will be able to install and activate Maple on your new hard drive with no problems.

Thanks, but would my license become corrupted and do I have to uninstall the program from the former HDD or pay some fee for this process? I have run into these kind of problems with an earlier version of Maple so i am pretty prudent.

Usually a hard disk will not make a different machine to work, so
I do not understand your question (it only makes some sense as
additional data storage).

You may want to ask Maple's support for your special needs.
And also want to study the License agreement for your version.
