You left out the spaces after 8 and 2.5

Even better, always use multiplication signs.

plots[polarplot]([8*cos(3*θ),4-2.5*cos(θ)]);

Spaces are of no importance

@herclau Executing your file on Maple 16.02 under Windows 7, 32 bit, I only see that the color option does not work in the display command. See executedspaces16.mw

PS. At least, you don't mention any spaces.

@Markiyan Hirnyk If I execute the worksheet that you prepared, I get the same results that i had originally. To get around this I just wrote the program on my laptop and then ran to the computer lab at school, executed it, and printed it. Not sure why this is happening as I am absolutely certain, having ran your version, that all commands are being inputted correctly.
