1st. Maple 16.02 is compatible with Win8

2nd Have you tried installing it in Win7 compatibility mode? Would be interesting to know if this works but even if it does install I doubt you would get any level of support on crashes etc.

Firstly, it should be noted that we do not support the use of your Maple version on Windows 8. Even if you are able to get it to install, we cannot guarantee that Maple will run properly on Windows 8.

That said, the “installer user interface mode not supported” error message is something that we have seen before and you should be able to work around the issue by doing the following.

Right-click the installation file and select “Properties”.
Click the “Compatibility” tab.
Check the box next to “Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select ”Windows 7” from the drop-down menu.
Click “Apply”.
Right-click the installation file and select “Run as Administrator”. You may then continue through the installation as normal.

This should correct the issue, but again, please be advised that we do not support the use of your Maple version under Windows 8.
