<itunes:summary>The Maple symbol for infinity is the full name 'infinity'. With that in your worksheet, the integral comes out as
<maple>1/4*A^2*h^(1/2)/a^(1/2)/m^(1/2)</maple> (after a simplify), which is probably what you are looking for?

By the way, the error function (see ?erf) is defined to be the cumulative density function for the Gaussian, which otherwise does not have a closed-form. In other words, it is essentially the 'name' for the input integral you gave!</itunes:summary>

      <itunes:summary>Thanks.

That is very useful information that I think I would probably never concluded using the maple help.

I'll try your suggestion, and again thanks.

<itunes:summary>I also tried plotting this function, and kept getting empty plot errors.

Any hints ?

Plotting which function exactly?

<itunes:summary>You need to be more precise, since <code>plot(erf(x),x=-5..5)</code> works fine for me. What exactly are you trying to plot that is failing?</itunes:summary>

      <itunes:summary>Sorry,

I'm trying to plot either the
expression: square, which is just the
function psi(x) multiplied by itself.

or the function psi(x) itself.

I think it's the constants in those expressions
causing the problems.

Thanks,
