Did each of you buy a book, or there was one that you shared?

I tried to find a secret download link in your post - something like "Help to these people..." which means http, but unsuccessfully.

In response to your question, Alec, a number of us here did buy copies of Snow Crash and have been sharing with others. I myself bought an ePub version for my Sony eReader. Some of us also used the local public libraries, which all have copies of this book. I realize the availability might not be so good elsewhere in the world.

I reread recently Harry Harrison's Deathworld, which some people here also might like.

I was trying to guess why this book was chosen.

Starting reading it, with Hiro being the Deliverator, I thought that you, guys, are preparing to changing your careers to becoming pizza delivery guys.

Then I found the following text: "It's owned by the Nipponese, which is no big deal. But it's also managed by the Nipponese, which means that all the programmers have to wear white shirts and show up at eight in the morning and sit in
cubicles and go to meetings." - and started to think that you are preparing for that.

Now, when I am on page 138 out of 221, with a detailed description of Y.T. mother's job, I am starting to think that that may be it - your job might look similar.

Do you continue your "One Book, One Company" event this year, Paulina?

Also, it would be interesting to see somebody else's (beside mine's) comments about the Snow Crash.
