Hi there!

Is there a way to implement a fixed delay (not the Padé approximation)? I'm using MapleSim 5.

I tried importing the Modelica's fixed delay block, but it seems that MapleSim doesn't support the implementation...

Thanks!

Rolling Wheel Joint

September 14 2012 by brunoleos 0 MapleSim

Hi people!

Why there is not a "Modelica.Mechanics.MultiBody.Joints.RollingWheel" (different from 1-D mechanics rolling wheel) in MapleSim 5? It is previewed in the Modelica language and SystemModeler has this implementation.

Is there a way to import the model o this joint from somewhere? If not, how could I model this non-holonimic constraint in MapleSim?

Thanks!

MapleSim has seen a rapid evolution since its inception in 2008 as a multi-domain system-level modeling and simulation environment. Market response has been outstanding: Maplesoft has been working with an expanding list of key industry players such as AISIN AW Co., Ltd. and B&R,  while major customers like

Hi,

How can we re-initialize a multi-body system, for example a three link pendulum, based on measurements obtained from various sensors? Can we generate a modelica custom component which has inputs from various sensors and the output is the re-initialized states for the multi-body system?

Thanks for your help....

Hi,

I have a system consisting of a multi-body system and various modelica/maple custom components. The problem is whenever I re-run the simulation even though all the simulation settings are same, the simulation results are inconsistent. There should be no difference between each simulation as all the parameters/settings are same. I am attaching two pictures which are both obtained from two successive simulations

Hi,

I have a simulation file consisting of a number of modelica custom componets and maple custom components. I initially generated Random Data with mean 1 and standard deviation 0.5. Constructed all the blocks and combined with a multibody system, it worked fine. However, when I generated Random data with zero mean, then I have this error/problem "Simulation Problem: maximum number of event iterations reached (100) at 1.85000".

I used a couple of pre() function with clock=sample(0,0.01...

Hi all,

I have a modelica custom componet which has inputs from angle/speed sensors and the output is a vector. I have an error "Attempted to retrieve property of unknown component". Can anyone see mistakes from the code below;

model basisFunction
    extends Maplesoft.Icons.CustomComponent;
    parameter Real bPen[sn*sn] "The normalized output for the basis function";
    parameter Integer sn=5 "The number of samples in each axist";

Hi all,

During simulation I need to use a parameter as a feedback, which is previously determined in a Modelica Custom Component. In this case, can we use Zero Order Hold (ZOH) block/function to hold the previous value? If yes, how should we choose the parameters of ZOH?

Thanks

Hello,

I downloaded the Modelica_Fluid 1.0 Library from the Modelica website. When I try to import this library into MapleSim5 I get the following error:

Duplicate class definition found for Modelica_Fluid.Pipes.BaseClasses.WallFriction.Detailed.msim/UNKNOWN

I then click "ok" and the importing stops working with the last message being:

Querying Modelica classes...

Can anybody offer help with this?

Christian

I'm putting together what will eventually be a rather large simulation system that I want to be able to maintain across a reasonably large organization. Do you have any recommendations for Source Code Control/Versioning systems that work with your .msim file format or should I resign our team to exporting/importing code back and forth into Modelica for source control?

Thanks.

Hi all,

I'm working on systems with discontinuities and need to define a finite state machine.

I tried to define one by myself and encountered some errors. The computation of initial conditions complains about either cycles and suggests using a pre-block - I am allready using one - or about inconsistent initial conditions and ignores some constraints. Does the initial condition computing algorithm loop insufficiently?

I also tried to use the modelica...

A new release of MapleSim is now available.

MapleSim 4.5 Highlights

  • Enhanced Modelica support, including the ability to access new collections of components using the Modelica import feature

  • Increased speed and modeling capabilities for continuous systems with discrete events. The enhanced engine handles a far greater class of these systems than earlier versions, and shows significant...

Modelica is an open language for (lumped parameter) modeling and simulation and is generating a growing following, especially in Europe. Modelica is also at the heart of simulation tools like MapleSim. We are generally not making a big deal of that fact and as a result we have a regular stream of actual and potential customers asking us why we are not more vocal about our use of Modelica. Do we not believe in open...
