Maple Player seems like it could be an outstanding piece of software, yet with the new operating system for Ipad, the program crashes immediately. I am unable to find any solutions. I also stumbled across a post in which Maplesoft is no longer providing support for the APP. Is this true?

Good afternoon sir.

I request your kind support to the above cited question.

With thanks & Regards

Hi all,

I have been trying to plot in Maple a Beta Prime Distribution using the Statistics package. I have define it through its density function and its range with the command

U := Distribution(PDF = (proc (x) options operator, arrow; x^(alpha-1)*(1+x)^(-alpha-beta)/Beta(alpha, beta) end proc), Support = 0 .. infinity)

and then assigned it to a random variable Z with the command

Z := RandomVariable(U)

Now I wanted to plot the density...

From the page:

it would seem like ubuntu 12.04 is not officially supported for Maple 16. Could someone from Maplesoft comment if there are plans to add support with perhaps a patch? or will we have to wait until Maple 17?

I need to update for certain sofware, but would want to make sure I can run maple in an uncompromised way.

thanks

I want to Play with math full-time.  I posted a help me do it page on my website at marvinrayburns.com under the link titled "Help!" Any ideas on how I can gel it to go viral and maybe get some support from it?

Hiim using maple 14 and tried to apply the sum of vector's elements, y appears a error (Error, unsupported type of index, n)

I'm in a calculus course in college right now and my professor wanted us to buy a copy of Maple, so I did.  I bought it for my Mac, but the software seems to be having trouble with basic operations, like adding, subtracting and multiplying.  If I were to try and add 2+3, for example, I can type in "2," but then when I try to type in "+," it deletes the two instead and freezes the Maple program itself.  I have no idea what's going on.  PLEASE HELP!!!
