Dear Maple users

Sometimes I would like to place certain Maple content on my website, for example making it possible for the user to rotate 3d objects (created in Maple) directly on the webpage, in the browser. I did that on one of my own webpages, written in Danish though:

If you scroll to the Catenoid shape, almost at the bottom of the page, one should be able to click this object to have a Javaapplett started. I made this years ago with the help of the great tools created by Konrad Polthier:

It wasn't easy, but I made it work. Things have changed since that time, however. Java is more and more "in bad standing". I was blocked when I tried opening it because of security. Banks is looking for alternatives, also because of security. And the mostly used browser now, Chrome, has stopped supporting it.

Now my question: Is there an alternative? Will HTML5 make it possible to make some kind of "Maple plugin" for Interactive Maple objects to be placed on webpages and interacted with in a Webbrowsers?

One of my post graduate students chose the theme "Discrete Wavelet analysis of medical signals with Maple" for her thesis. I test, is it possible to support such reearch be Maplesoft &  what may be the form of such support, if it is possible?

I read this, but there was nothing on how to write a help associated with it.

Does anyone know where I can find it?

Maple Player seems like it could be an outstanding piece of software, yet with the new operating system for Ipad, the program crashes immediately. I am unable to find any solutions. I also stumbled across a post in which Maplesoft is no longer providing support for the APP. Is this true?

Hi all,

I have been trying to plot in Maple a Beta Prime Distribution using the Statistics package. I have define it through its density function and its range with the command

U := Distribution(PDF = (proc (x) options operator, arrow; x^(alpha-1)*(1+x)^(-alpha-beta)/Beta(alpha, beta) end proc), Support = 0 .. infinity)

and then assigned it to a random variable Z with the command

Z := RandomVariable(U)

Now I wanted to plot the density...

it would seem like ubuntu 12.04 is not officially supported for Maple 16. Could someone from Maplesoft comment if there are plans to add support with perhaps a patch? or will we have to wait until Maple 17?

I need to update for certain sofware, but would want to make sure I can run maple in an uncompromised way.

Hiim using maple 14 and tried to apply the sum of vector's elements, y appears a error (Error, unsupported type of index, n)

 

a := Vector(5, {(1) = 1, (2) = 2, (3) = 3, (4) = 4, (5) = 5});

I'm in a calculus course in college right now and my professor wanted us to buy a copy of Maple, so I did.  I bought it for my Mac, but the software seems to be having trouble with basic operations, like adding, subtracting and multiplying.  If I were to try and add 2+3, for example, I can type in "2," but then when I try to type in "+," it deletes the two instead and freezes the Maple program itself.  I have no idea what's going on.  PLEASE HELP!!!
