how i can plot the function in terms of different values of n in a figure:







Greetings everyone. I tried to get the roots of this polynomial by using allvalues command. But I got the roots in indeces instead of the value of the roots.

what should i do?

My problem is i am working with a very large randomly generated output, generated using maple's builtin in random generating functions. I have the output which i want to investigate but i want to be able to reproduce this result when i save and close the worksheet. Since the list of generators is very long copy pasting is not very nice and i donot know the seed of these generaters. I want to ask if i can store the values in variable in the worksheet so that when i open the worksheet i can get the same random generates stored in the variable.


I have entered two functions and got a solotion for them:

Now i want to know if there is someway Maple can do this automaticly:


So that i not have to do like i did here, manuel copy-paste the values into the function, or re-enter them.


Using Maple 17.02 on Windows 64-bit, but i guess that makes no differance, since it's java :) 


Try makeing it simple, i'm new with Maple.

I'm using the DirectSearch package in a 10 periods model and in the first period i get this values:

I just started using Maple for my engineering study some weeks ago, i have had luck finding help by google and forums so far. But now i ran into the first problem i can't find any answers for.

I want to add some values in a table like you can in excel. The values have to change like everything else in the document when then references changes and

 I want to evaluate the values of x and y and the data should bo saved in .xls format  from contour plot 

for g=0.1 the data x and y values  should be stored in xls sheet 1  atleast 50 values 

similarly  in separate xls sheet 

for g=0.0 the data x and y values  should be stored in xls sheet 1  atleast 50 values 




I have created a test document to check an equation and I would like to feed a range of k values (ranging from 0 to say 512) in increments of 1) to the main function, and then plot the result as a graph of Zuncomp (y-axis) vs k(x-axis).

I can verify the values of the function by typing say Zuncomp(0) or Zuncomp(10) etc but how do you run this so that you do Zuncomp(k) to read all values of k and generate the output to plot?

Can we plot without values to variables that we know are constant or do we always need to assign some kind of a value?  

As an example lets just go back to a first/second year classical mechanics course.  We'll just use the simple case of a falling projectile.  The object has a velocity of v0, with a gravitational force mg and resistive force kmv.  Using Newtons 2nd law of motion we can set up the equation.

Anyways as always maple easily...


I am working with equations on Maple which depends on a parameter (epsilon), which can assume only the values +1 and -1 (I intent to replace this value only in the end of calculation). When, however, Maple computes the expressions, the result contains severals powers of epsilon, for instance epsilon^7 or epsilon^4. Since actually we have that epsilon^7=epsilon and epsilon^4=1, respectively, it would be very usefull to me if Maple 


If I have a 18x18 matrix, among are some which values are zero. If I would like to know how many of it are zero and how many are non-zero, what should I write please?


For L a given L-function (such as the Ramanujan-tau Dirichlet series) I would like to compute L(s) at 2.5*10^5 values of s equidistributed in a square region of the complex plane in a reasonably short time (meaning, say, less than an hour.) Is there a Maple function that will do this, either in the original software or available on the web?

I've created a matrix in which each row has two values. I'm using Add(i,i=[matrixName][row element number])/2 to find the mean of each row, which I'd like to transfer to a corresponding element number in an array or a vector, but so far I can only get it to work on single rows or (if I use only Add(i,i=[matrixName]/2), understandably, the mean of the whole matrix. Is there a way to do it wholesale?

Dear members,

I would like to generate a tree (the simplest "stage tree"that I have in mind is in the attached file) ad to work with it. For that I need to  "replicate" [the stage tree which starts in O (with some value R)] after the nodes x2, y2, z2. The nodes x1, y1, z1 are terminal (with values f(R), g(R), h(R) ).

I found soemthing on the posts on mapleprimes, but it is only bor "binarytrees".

How may I proceed?.
