Is there a way to loop over an entire worksheet I already have? I am too lazy to retype everything into one for loop, and I couldn't just copy and paste everything into one command thing (the space you make when you shift-enter). Is there something I can put before my worksheet that runs it, changes one variable, runs it again, etc.?

Thanks! I hope it is clear what I am asking.

A procedure can be made available in many worksheets by copying its original commands to each such worksheet. Is there a better way to include and invoke such a procedure in multiple worksheets?

there are two style to write on the worksheet mode (Text and Math)

I prefer the  writing  on  (text mode ) by pressing (f5) , but my  problem is when I press Enter to pass  to a new line on my page which has (test style). the style of page changes to (math).

my question is How can I fix a style of the worksheet page?

While I am working with a problem , suddenly the message 'Kernel connection lost' appeared. After that I restarted maple and then I opened my work sheet again , but I lost all my equations and data in the work sheet. I dont know why? All my work is total empty.

How can I recover the work sheet data? Solutions are appreciated.

I have attached the lost work sheet for your reference.

Thanking you.

I want to paste a list of points generated by another program into a maple worksheet.

However, when I paste the list of points into the Maple worksheet, I get a command prompt after each defined point in the list.  Whereby, the executable code will not run.

I need a way to paste the list of points into the worksheet without any command prompts.  Is there a special entry mode?

Here's the list of points I want to paste into the worksheet:

Below is the worksheet code that I want to paste the list of points.

However, when I paste the list of points within the "pointPlot3D" function -- I get a command prompt after each defined point in the list of points.  (So 30 points gives 30 command prompts.)  Whereby, when this code is executed, there is an error.    What I need is a means to paste this list of points into the worksheet WITHOUT the command prompts showing up.

In a worksheet, I don't know why the brackets like this "[" where normally I put my maple inputs and generally before the symbol ">" are not present (or displayed).

1) Are these brackets important for the computation of calculations in a worksheet ?

2) How can I do to display them again?

Thank you foryour help.

In the following worksheet, I can evaluate S(32), but not S(31). As a result, I can't use any value that depends on S(31) (or any i<31), for example, the graph is incomplete. How can I get Maple to evaluate S(31)?

sigma := 167:

t := proc (i) options operator, arrow; exp(-(1/2)*i^2/sigma^2) end proc:

S := proc (l) options operator, arrow; 1+2*(sum(t(i), i = l .. infinity)) end proc:

1.+2.*(sum(exp(-(1/55778)*i^2), i = 31 .. infinity))

Expected result of evalf(S(31)):

plot(S(y), y = 20 .. 50)

All told, S(i) fails for i in [0..31], i = 115,116, and 221. S(i) succeeds for all other i < 3500.

I am running Maple in a windows virtual machine, on a mac computer.

I have a number of worksheets on its disk

Windows advised me to run its error checking utility (chkdsk)

when I try and open them it gives me a number of options:

maple text

plain text

and maple input

None of these are the same as the original files. What has happened? and how can i fix it?

I would like to create a variable name that consists of a greek letter and an english letter. For example, δx.   If I type

>delta = 5;

Maple displays the output as δ = 5

However, I would like to have variable names that are output as δx.

Is there a way to do this in worksheet mode? I tried cat(delta,x) but that just gave me deltax.

Thanks for your help,

Is there a way to export worksheet to pdf format but not in A4 size since some lines are going beyond the page?

But I have not found how to do it.

I'd like to tell a new worksheet to use assignments created in another document. This is to save time retyping equations.

And, is this something that others like to do ?

Cheers !

The default way a prompt shows on my maple is

[> blah blah blah

but i see in many worksheets including maple help pages that it shows as

> blah blah blah

My Question is how do i remove that left square bracket "[" from appearing ?

A created an overly complicated worksheet thaI can no longer open.  It's about 17 Mb, has several interactive plots and equations in it.  Is there a way to force Maple to open a worksheet without executing it?

(Lesson learned:  split this up into separate worksheets next time.)

How I can get a list of all label refernces of a worksheet. In fact I want to write a small code which would produce the LaTex output (written to a text file) for my indicated labels. thanx

Another worksheet dilemma  I am having with Maple.

I have number of "execution groups", like this, I created using CTRL-J

Now I wanted to put these in a section, so it becomes like this: (I had to make new worksheet now)

Since I did not know how put existing groups inside a new section I wanted to create (the section always comes at different level that does not include the groups), I thought I can create the section first, then go copy the groups and paste them to the new section.

The problem is how does one actually select multiple execution groups for the purpose of copying them?  The obvious way is to use the mouse, and select all groups with the mouse.

Well, this a big problem, since my groups are so large, I can spend 5-10 minutes scrolling down, very slowly to select them. my hand gets tired and I get tired doing this. I also one time got an error from Maple, saying selection too large, and something about rtf memory error or something. This is after wasting 10 minutes scrolling down carefully to select over 10,000 lines that is one large list.

In Mathematica, I can simply select a cell, no matter how large (an execution group in Maple talk) by just clicking on the edge of the cell.  I can select multiple cells the same way (hold, click on the edge of all). Very easy. I do not have to scroll down to select the content as I do with Maple

But here, with Maple, I put the mouse of the left edge, and can't select the group. Nothing happens. So I have to actually scroll down. I do not see the point of having a left [ edge to a group if one can't use it to select the group?

So my question is: How to select one or more execution groups without scrolling the mouse over all the content?
