Hi Erik,

Thank you for your thorough report. Our technical support will investigate this and escalate it to our developers if necessary.

Once we have any more information, we'll let you know.

Cheers,

Alacarte seems like a good way to do it.  I had always just copied the maple##.desktop to the applications folder using:

sudo cp ~/maple16/bin/maple16.desktop /usr/share/applications

@Jarekkk: Yep, Maplesoft support can definitely give you a new download link for 15.01.  I would definitely wait and do it all at one time though so you have less work...

@Jarekkk : Could you try to reinstall 15.01 with the full installer. Support (at) Maplesoft.com can prepare a new download link for you if needed.

@andrewfortune: Yes and No.

This particular user was wondering about switching tabs as opposed to windows in Maple, and for this, my comments above are accurate.

Regarding switching windows, ALT-SHIFT-F6 works in Windows XP, but does not work in newer versions of Windows such as Win 7. I realize that the documentation is somewhat misleading in this case and as such, I have made a request to clarify this in the documentation.

If you are using newer versions of Windows, then the ALT+W+# is the only way (other than ALT+TAB) to switch between Windows.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

I tested your worksheet and it does appear to run fine.  Try to run Maple by going to the program icon and right-clicking and choosing to Run as an administrator.

If this helps, you can right click on the maplew.exe file in Maple's bin folder and changes its permssions to run with administrator privileges.

Cheers.

We tested this on a fresh Fedora 16 (32-bit) install and did not encounter the error.

We were however able to reproduce it in the 64-bit version. This seems to suggest an issue with the 64-bit binaries.

Running the code that I suggested works fine in Maple 13 through 15.  However, your modified code does not. Perhaps you need to examine the parts that you modified (such as the tau & delta terms which now have the additional [] ).
