I have been trying to change the signature on the account settings on MaplePrimes. I did make a change in the last couple of weeks, but need to make another change to remove some extraneous characters from the end of the signature. I have gone through the steps to make this change several times (at least 10) in the last couple of days, from work and home. But, the change is never saved. I make the change to the signature, click Submit, and see a message that "The changes have been saved." But, when I try to make another post, the changes have NOT been saved. I have tried entering my password as part of this process, but that makes no difference. I have tried to re-click the Accept box for the Terms and Conditions but this box is inactive.
case closed, except not really
Wouldn't you know. As soon as I post my comment, the edit is actually saved. My signature is now updated.
While it might be case closed on this specific incident, the fact remains that there appears to be some sort of a problem with updating user account settings.

Don't worry - nothing will happen
The old issue reported in Now you see it, now you don't has never been resolved. Despite several attempts, I have only been able to change the content of one single field. The content of all others seem to be dropped down some black hole in cyberspace. Maybe Hawking radiation will one day return it back, although probably unrecognizably scrambled.
Signature update
Did your signature appear to be updated on your settings page right after you clicked save?
My theory is that your browser had the signature cached, so when you went to create a post, it was using the old signature. Only once the cache timed out, did the new signature appear.
Regarding the Maple tags, they still work for simple Maple expressions, which is what they were originally intended for. More complex expressions, such as Tables don't appear to work any more. This appears to be a side effect of switching to a new MapleNet server. I am trying to fix this, but have not yet found a solution.

response to theory
Did your signature appear to be updated on your settings page right after you clicked save? No. As I wrote in my original post, the response did say that the change had been saved.
My theory is that your browser had the signature cached, so when you went to create a post, it was using the old signature. Only once the cache timed out, did the new signature appear. Possible. But, wouldn't I see the correct signature when I tried to create a post? And, wouldn't my posts show the updated signature?
Your theory would seem plausible only if the cache contained the individual pieces from which the MaplePrimes windows are created. Is this how this works?
