Numerical I get it as Pi/2 for f(x) = x^2  with 14 places.

Unfortunately you can not write or get -1 < x < 1 (except, that it may look as if it would be so).

However something similar (but not that nice) using ranges, like:

  assume(y=0, x>-1, x<1); getassumptions(x);

I guess that leading coefficient = 1 is meant, otherwise assume it

Recall how the number of zeros of a polynomial and degree are related,
if one works over the complex numbers and then write down the 1st answer

Recall how the complex zeros of a parabola are related - can you express
that by complex conjugation?

Recall how complex zeros of a polynomial are related or formulate a guess
and look it up in your lectures.

For the rest you may remember school and try to use Maple.

In any case: show up what have achieved and done so far before asking.

I do not believe it is a competitor: Maple is not that strong (sorry)
and I have minor reasons to doubt MapleSim is a strongly used
component - it would be much too risky for a competitor (which in
this case is Matlab) to go that way:

S/he would become vulnerable for extorsion attempts (internally)
and no manager would do - not even unofficially ...

What I think is: it is just advertising for plagiaristic products (but
in a quite silly way, may that's why you think about a competitor).
And that those technicians are aware of the weakness of the most
common boards.

PS: no need to excuse for China, it is related to the economical
situation of those peoples. The usual attacks are through mails
(at work ~ 98% are killed by our admin's filters and meanwhile
he rejects any mail from CN servers ... but not only from there,
