it is a bit boring and time consuming to click through the links (my impression is: graphics improved ... what else?)

http://www.mapleprimes.com/forum/conditionalprobabilities

it needs more than 1 min to open the URL on a fast connection

I tried that trick with a single log (IIRC I have seen such in notes by Kelly Roach) and did not suceed ...

Will, it is nerve-shattering for users and I hope you will get some better equipment ...

the specific thread: about 3 hrs ago it did not work for me (but I quit after more than ~ 1 min waiting for loading it), now it seems ok

Ah ... ok, I understand, but would not mind, though I once learned in a (Swiss) sales training 'never say no' ...  'say yes and turn it to the opposite'  :-) Anyway, I do not want to act as a mediator ...

Though I do not expect what you desire (Maple does not even guarantee continous anti-derivatives) I find it quite interesting:

A change x = y^2 would do.

But it seems that a definite version (say for x = -1 .. +1)  gives the notorious problem with Elliptics (i.e. different results for numerics).

Moreover assumptions are not regarded for integrands ...

And numerical Maple has problems to find values, especially for x < 0 (I killed plottings ...) and limits and eval as well.

BTW: for me pagan's answer does not sound unfriendly, but I am not English/American

and seconding what G A Edgar said: solve is for symbolical solutions, fsolve for numerical ones and for your problem (from financial Math?) I used my own way (based on Brent's solver), but have not checked the proper use of your inputs (as I rarely use Statistics)

This allows me to send a link to buddys (advertising Maple) and they can have a look - they never would register ... good!

in Maple Classic (the only Real Interface for Maple) I do not have problem with that (while Maple <--> Excel needs some care in non-English settings) and in case one can set myDir:= "D:\\_Work\\Maple_Work", libname: or similar in an ini-file

I would not call it slow, the most friendly would be 'intolerably' ...

Never I will understand why the marketing junx and mädelz can not imagine users having
no fibre optics connection or do not have on-site access at 100+ ...

At least you should think about a 'pure' access without all the nice (they are, yes) gimmicks,
slim and fast on demand as an option for the whole site.

But as almost always: they will ignore it. For sure.

being not a purist I would just save or export the output and do it by a Word processor ... if your namings are systematic then it should not even be a problem to have different names

otherwise answers (if any) will be vague: for exmaple you may have input in Standard interface which may not be valid in Classical interface (copy paste or what ever, missing multiplication sign ...) and if it would actually a bug then nobody can guess thsi from your lines
