The print to PDF option will only appear if you are using a Macintosh. Personally, I use "Cute PDF" which installs itself as a printer driver. Instead of sending documents to a printer, it converts them to PDF.

Yep, that is what I thought you were seeing. I'll look into fixing it. Hopefully I can find a way to make it work in both IE6 and IE7

Could you please post a screenshot of the problem? I am currently using IE6 and the reply box looks good to me. I don't want to upgrade to IE7 because there are many more people who use IE6 and I want to be able to make sure the site looks good there for them. Firefox is of course, my primary browser.

Thanks for your great blog entry. I have promoted this to the front page. Also, I just replaced your text with a version created from a worksheet. This made it easy to change your Text versions of 2-D math into attractive math.

Well the title I used is, "Maple Fan" I don't think you'll see it used anywhere on the site though.

When I activated the File Manager, I removed the old file attachment module, so the site does not currently show links to files that were uploaded before the File Manager. The files are still all on the server. I just updated this post to include a link to the file. If you find anywhere else that files are missing, please let me know and I'll correct that as well.

I just made a change that I think you should find optimal. I have removed the ability of users to edit or delete their forum posts. So we will no longer lose content from the site. However, I have created a new set of special users that still have this ability. I have added the top MaplePrimes users to this list. So Alec and Axel you can still edit your own forum posts. I will look into giving your accounts the ability to edit comments as well. I hope you are happy with this,

It looks like the only way for me to no allow people to delete their own posts is to also disallow them from editing the posts. This could be a problem if you discover you have a typo in your post after you have submitted it. You could correct the post in a comment, but that is far from eligant. What do you think of this? Is the loss of editing ability worth the advantage of not losing content?

As suspected, the comments from that post are gone. I'll definitely try and find a solution to this problem ASAP.

That probably is it. Currently there is no way for me to disallow people from deleting their own posts, this does cause all comments to be deleted as well. I definitely see this as a big limitation of the site. I want to keep as much content as possible on the site so that people can learn from other user's questions. I'll definitely look into fixing this problem as soon as possible.

I just did a search through the MaplePrimes database, there are no entries that have the work SearchAll in it. I'm guessing that you actually named the procedure something else. I haven't deleted any content from the site. So if you ever posted it here, I would have found it during that search.

If you click on "User Search" you get a link to your user profile. Where people can then click on the "track" link to see all of your posts. For the second, I just search for, "Numerical integration" and it is the second result.

The search should be working fine now, the relaunch of the site should not be affecting the search at all. Can you please give me examples of searches that do not work in a way that you expect? For searching by time, you can go to http://www.mapleprimes.com/archive and specify the date that you wish to see the content for.

The search built into MaplePrimes seems to work quite well for me. And it has a big advantage over Google in that the search is automatcially updated whenever new content is posted to the site. When using Google, you have to wait for the Google crawler to come visit the site to find new content. For example, searching for "eludom" on MaplePrimes gives you both this post and an older post. Searching on Google, I was not able to find anything. The third option is to use search.maplesoft.com which is a Google server which is owned by Maplesoft that indexes our sites several times a week. Searching there gets the old result but not this post. William Spaetzel
