Actually after some struggling with it I discovered that the problem was with the constant name - I used k[t] and supposedly integration algorithm had problem with it as I was integrating with respect to t. Changing the k[t] to k[m] solved the problem and it was possible to solve the whole expression without expansion. Rookie mistake on my side... sorry guys, still learning!
