This is my first time using Maple.  I thought by Classic you meant worksheet view.

I tried the series command in both the document view and the worksheet view and both gave negative powers of z as fractions.  This is far beyond where I was before, but i would like to get it into a format with z raised to negative powers.  What do you mean by Classic?  Thanks
