Dear Maple Users
I was looking forward to having the Units package improved in Maple 15. Units are indeed converted to SI Units when direct calculations are made. It is a disappointment though that this conversion doesn't occur when solving equations as the example below show:
Unfortunately Maplesoft mix up their announcements for news in version 15 of Maple with previous improvements, which make it hard to find out what is actually news. Something did happen in the Units package of Maple 15, but I am not able to see what. Not what I was hoping for though. Why doesn't Maple simplify to SI Units consistently?
