@Kitonum Thanks for the help I really appreciate it. Sincerely J

@Carl Love Thanks carl. It worked perfect, and I can learn from the example.  Thanks again J.

@Carl Love Thanks Carl Love.  This is much appreciated.  I was sick all this week with the flu so I am behind on studying.  The Maple has given me the toughest time this semester. This is a real life saver. Thanks again.  If I have trouble applying it may I contact you again?  Sincerely Jazen V

@rlopez I got the task template to load on a blank worksheet and to accept input but it didn't get the tangent right or the graph.  So I don't know. I will take you up on your offer of help.  I got the problem I needed solved with a lot of help from acer, but I nned to get good enough to get a b in this class.

@Carl Love I got some help to get me through but I really appreciate the help I've gotten on Mapleprimes.  I will study what you gave me vs what Acer gave me.  The both look right.  Thanks again.

@rlopez I can't insert anything into the task template or insert the template into a worksheet.  Everytime I try to insert something into the template the border of the area to be inserted to turns blue (f(x) =, or Xo = etc)

@acer I can use canned procedures if I can explain the steps.  but I am a new user and my professor won't help at all.  He's like here's a 5 minute video good luck.  I am actually ok with calculus it's the maple that's killing me.  Any hlp getting the tangent line, and the normal lineon ln3x+3 graph would be a life saver.  Thanks.

@acer I need to be able to calculate tangent lines and normal lines and add them to the graph.

@acer I just found the hidden calculus palette.  Why the hell would you hide some of the palettes and not put that in your tutorial videos?  "By the way if you want to do calculus you'll need the hidden calculus palette, right click the side bar to see all the hidden palettes."  Why even have hidden palettes?  That's just messing with people.

@Axel Vogt I understand the calculus just fine, I am actually pretty good at math but this maple programming language sucks.  My Professor literally said here you go and gave us a one 5 minute video that didn't really help. He's not answering my emails now.  I would pay for a tutor in this.

@oldstudent The first button in the calculus palette (and I assume you mean the expression palette, is the a+b button, which definitely isn't the lim X--->whatever button. So I don't know what you mean. Do you have an older version that's different.  Mine is maple 18
