Thank you all for all of your suggestions. Below I respond to the posts from Doug Meade and roman_pearce. I post a bit of the question/suggestion and then respond in the line below it. Doug Meade

Can you be more explicit about what types of features are being added?

  • I am working on a tool that allows users to upload files to MaplePrimes in one central location. This tool should eliminate the problems that some users have with uploading files. Additionally, the convert worksheet functionality will be integrated into this tool. Finaly, this tool will also allow you to upload a worksheet to a MapleNET server allowing a full, interactive worksheet to be posted to MaplePrimes.
  • Additionally, we are working on integrating the membership systems for Maplesoft.com and MaplePrimes. That way a user who registers on Maplesoft.com will be able to log into MaplePrimes without signing up again. We will also add a “remember me
Thanks for you compliments on the site, I am glad to see that you are happy with MaplePrimes as it is. We do have several new features which are currently being developed for MaplePrimes. Some of these features will be arriving in the next few weeks. We do have some tasks behind the scenes that must be taken care of befor MaplePrimes is officially taken out of beta. Unfortunately, I can't give an exact timeframe as for when the beta period will end. Thanks for your suggestion on promoting the site at the Maple Conference. We will definitely take your ideas into consideration. ____ William Spaetzel Applications Developer, Maplesoft
Which web browser are you using? Have you modified the settings in your browser for handling cookies? The login for MaplePrimes should last as long as you have your web browser open. We do intend to add a "remember me" option that allows the site to automatically log you in, even if you have closed your browser. I have not heard of your timeout problem before. If you give me the details of your browser, I will look into it. ____ William Spaetzel Applications Developer, Maplesoft
Hello, I saw your two posts and thought they would be good problems to appear on the front page of MaplePrimes. I have the ability to move posts so they appear there. Sorry for the confusion, ____ William Spaetzel Applications Developer, Maplesoft
Evidently I should check out the previous post that I referred to, the Pi song seems to just be part of the Math Rap. I also had this comment posted on my weblog: I don't have a login at Maple Primes, but there is indeed more to the Pi Song. Here's the video: http://www.keithschofield.com/pi/ That also has a link to buy the Pi song on iTunes. 3:14 long, of course. ____ William Spaetzel Applications Developer, Maplesoft
I simply installed the Drupal print module. The module does not work with threads, as you noticed. I will look into modifying the module so that it does that. ____ William Spaetzel Applications Developer, Maplesoft
I just made the addition. You can now get a printable version of any page on MaplePrimes by clicking on "Printer Friendly Version" at the bottom of a posting. ____ William Spaetzel Applications Developer, Maplesoft
Hello, are you asking about the use of the Maple Professional Math Toolbox for LabVIEW? Or are you trying to do work between Maple and LabVIEW without the toolbox? Could you please be more specific about your question? ____ William Spaetzel Applications Developer, Maplesoft
It might be helpful to include the Link to the map as well as to the original blog posting. Also, Frappr is not a Google product, it was built using Google Maps API so it leverages all of the Google Maps functionality. ____ William Spaetzel Applications Developer, Maplesoft

Yep, that is exactly the plot that I was thinking of.

What do you think Jacques? Care to use this as a logo for the map?

This should be interesting to see where all of the Maple personalities are all over the world. I know that there is a Maple worksheet somewhere on the web that generates a nice Maple leaf. That would be a great image to use. I tried looking for it through the application centre and Google, and haven't found anything yet. Anyone else know where it is? ____ William Spaetzel Applications Developer, Maplesoft
I just fixed the link. ____ William Spaetzel Applications Developer, Maplesoft
Another great way of posting Maple code is to use the Worksheet Converter which turns any .mw worksheet into HTML which you can then post in the forums, as a blog entry or as a reply. The converter also uploads the worksheet to MaplePrimes and inserts a link to the .mw so that other people can download and try out your code quickly and easily. ____ William Spaetzel Applications Developer, Maplesoft
Joe got the current system down pretty well. The community has been great at answering simple or interesting questions very quickly. For the harder questions that don't get answered, I usually wait a day or two for the community to answer the question. If they do not get answered, I send an e-mail out to a bunch of Maplesoft employees who will usually answer the question. Keep in mind that most Maplesoft employees will only be checking the site during the week. So any questions posed on the weekend, might have to wait a little longer. Since Joe's last statement is so useful, I want to repeat it, "The best way to get a question answered is to clearly formulate it, as simply as possible. Then give it an appropriate subject." The more people that use the site, the faster and better questions will be answered. So, over time the response time will get shorter and shorter. ____ William Spaetzel Applications Developer, Maplesoft
I will add those suggestions to the MaplePrimes "wish list" and will look into implementing them. ____ William Spaetzel Applications Developer, Maplesoft
