Thanks for the help, I'll probably end up modifying the postscript file for the time being.  I used to export data from Maple to Matlab in order to create publication quality .eps images, but I'd like to streamline this process and do everything from Maple.  Built in control over axis/tickmark thickness would be a really nice feature for future versions of Maple (I'm using 10, perhaps 11 or 12 already have this?).
