Digital locks can have their codes changed far easier than the physical keys of a key lock. You can attempt to pick a key lock all day long, but entering a wrong code in some digital locks can sound an alarm, create a “time-out” function which prevents entering numerous codes in an effort to guess the combo, and alert the owner upon his or her return, that numerous incorrect attempts were made to open the lock. With a standard home key lock, you can try out 200 different keys, and I can guarantee that one of them will unlock the lock. And the home owner will never know that an unauthorized person now has now has a working copy of the key. Digital keys won’t tear holes in your pocket like physical keys can. You can lock your door and go walking or jogging and not freak out that you lost your key somewhere along your route. You can easily store your key on a note in your cellphone contacts list or disguised in a file on your phone. You can't do that with a physical key.
