@C_R Gotcha. Well, I don't know what the point of that was, it certainly wasn't a helpful reply. Thanks anyways.

@C_R Are you suggesting a series of ineffecient menu selections as an alternative to the *single* keyboard entry (well, combo due to my keyboard) that I already find to be a ineffecient?  Because that's what it sounds like you're suggesting and I'm going to have to decline, emphatically, your recommendation.

@acer Ah, that did it. Good to know about the sorting. I'm updating an old handbook from 20 years ago, looks like this behavior was introduced sometime between then and now. Thanks!

@C_R I'm familiar with the buttons, but they have no shortcuts so they're not a time saver for me. Having to constantly go from typing to hunt-and-clicking every 20 seconds is tedious. I've worked around that for now, but what I'm referring to is when you create a new "Maple prompt" (the middle of the two you've highlighted), the entry format defaults to Math and not Text. Because I'm illustrating use for a handbook, it's more helpful to present the section using Text. So I have to press F5 at the very start of the entry in the new cell Every Single Time. Again, I'm creating a multitude of cells, so this is just another tedious action that shouldn't be necessary and just makes creating this workbook all that much more lengthy a process.

@acer Good enough I suppose. Doesn't work when there's already content, but I can work with this. Thanks!

@Scot Gould It's not an issue of being able to 'distinguish' but more the 20+ years of muscle memory that have re-inforced 'Enter' as new line and 'Shift+Enter' as send. So instead of having to constantly arrow-key back up to the middle of a complicated proc that I'm writing b/c the 20 years of muscle memory kicked in when I went to enter a new line, I had hoped that I might be able to update the keyboard bindings to something that I find more productive. This is also the sort of thing that people with various disabilities do with other applications to help ensure they're able to use them as effectively as possible. *shrug* But if that's not a usability feature I can expect to find in Maple, so be it.

@dharr What version are you using?  I'm on Maple 2024 and even in the Code Edit Regions, `Enter` still exits the cell and moves me into the next. I have to use `shift+enter` to get a new line.
