Maple 12: 2D Math cf 2D Input w RREF

I have been trying to discover the difference between 2D Math and 2D Input. Help details /how/ to use them but not /why/.

I enter material as 2D Math, and sometimes it gets changed to 2D Input.

In the attached doc, I see no difference between the declaration for Sx and d, yet Sx seems to have values and d does not.View 1292_2D Math cf 2D Input w RREF.1.0.0.mw on MapleNet or Download 1292_2D Math cf 2D Input w RREF.1.0.0.mw

That may explain why the RREF does not work???
