Here it is. If you are running windows vista on your machine and installed maple 11, you will shortly notice that you cannot save documents which is a little annoying. After a lot of reading and understanding how maple works as a sofware, I figured out that maple installs its own version of Java Runtime Envenrinement commonly known as JRE. The hick is it is not compatible with windows vista. Here is the solution I propose for you: 1. Go on Java sun`s website and download the latest JRE version. You will need to install it... https://sdlc5e.sun.com/ECom/EComActionServlet;jsessionid=A61F1EC27C11159DC1B22D3FBC2E7AB0 this is the website of the latest version I know of. 2. Once installed go in your Maple jre directory commonly chosen to be C:\Program Files\Maple11\jre, make a new folder and call it backup. 3. Copy all the content of the C:\Program Files\Maple11\jre except the folder backup in C:\Program Files\Maple11\jre\backup just to ensure that if something bad happens you can go back to what it was before... 4. Now copy all that`s in C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.X_XX where the X`s represent numbers related to the JRE version you`ve freshly installed. Paste it in C:\Program Files\Maple11\jre. That should be it. Now you have a fully operational Maple 11 running on Windows vista! Gabriel
