3 Chemical Engineering laboratories in Thessaloniki (Salonica), Greece, are preparing the 9th Meeting of the Network Young Membrains (NYM) [26-28 September 2007]. The NYM has proved to be a well-established and important conference for young membrane researchers, enjoying a good response and a steadily growing interest every year. More than 700 “young membrains” from different European and occasionally non-European countries have participated in the 8 previous meetings, with more than 80 attendees participating in Rende, Italy, September 2006. Topics of the imminent meeting are Reactors, Gas permeation, Fuel cells, Pervaporation, Thermodynamics, and of course Modelling (CFD, Algebraic / Differential Equations, Optimization, etc.). Abstracts about simulation with Maple code are very welcome! Registration fees are only 70,-EUR and will be paid upon arrival in Thessaloniki. (The conference-fee covers all accommodation, nutrition and transportation during the meeting). Registration will be open until July, 15, 2007. If you are researching membrane technology and you are interested in participating in the meeting, you may visit NYM's site, where you can download the Flyer of the 9th NYM conference and ‘meet’ the Cast of NYM9.
