Dear Robert, I was not paying attention and forgot to play the animation; I am abashed. No wonder you were puzzled. The animation is exactly what was required and you have my thanks for it. A happy New Year to you and all the Maple User Community. Sincerely, Audrey Kirfoot.

Dear Robert, Apologies for giving insufficient information. Only the plane is to be completely rotated around and through the cone. The intent is to illustrate the geometrical derivation of the conic sections such as the parabola, ellipse and hyperbola by the animation. Thank you for your reply. Audrey Kirfoot.

Dear Mariner, Thank you. This works a treat. May I ask how to centre the plot when coming to print the worksheet. Centering as for text moves the whole area to the centre. Excuse my ignorance on these matters; I can usually work things out without bothering anyone. Yours Sincerely, Audrey.

Dear J. Tarr, I do this, then wish to continue with text on a line under the graph, pretty much as you see in textbooks, but it seems not possible. Sincerely, Audrey.

Dear Laurent, Excuse the misunderstanding. I meant that an image imported into Maple cannot be moved by copying or cutting and pasting to another part of the worksheet without Maple shutting down. Have managed to, say, save an image in My Pictures, open it in Paint, then copy it into Maple, with the above results. There must be an easier method.
Dear Maplesoft, Would be good if one could import images saved from the web in gif. or other formats, into a Maple worksheet, and be able to copy it into another part of the document without Maple shutting down.
