1. When I use the option plotsetup(ps,plotoutput="c:\\plot.ps"); plot(x^2, x=-2..3); I generate the file plot.ps but I cannot visualize. When I open with GSView there is a message: "DSC error %% Pages: doesn't mathc number of %%Page: Ok et etc Cancel etc etc ". 2. But when I generate plot(x^2, x=-2..3); and I select the plot ad export/ (eps, jpg, etc) I can visualize the graphic using GSView or MicroSoftPictureManager. What is the reason of the difference? Do I need to add some option to the first way to generate the plot? JJ

Given the following surfaces -that I draw in the best way to illustrate my problem- I would like to draw the tangecy points not only for 160 and 500 but for all other possible values (for x*y*z=0 to 1000.. and for the other function (10-x)*(10-y)*(10-z)^2 =10000 to 0). implicitplot3d({x*y*z=160,(10-x)*(10-y)*(10-z)^2=500}, x=0..10,y=0..10,z=0..10, axes=boxed); I am using Maple 10.01. Thanks a lot for you answer, JJ

Thanks a lot Scott. I have additional questions. 1. (this maybe a silly question but ..) if the directory where I want to save is c:\myfiles\documents what should be the correct command to write plot.ps in this subdirectory? 2. I was able to generate the file plot.ps but I cannot read it. I tried with GSview 4.7. Am I doing something wrong? 3. Is the export option different when we use the >Document mode or worsheet mode? or are they the same? Thanks, JJ
