Thank you so much! The correction regarding X>5 was a great help too. I can now see that your way of doing things is much closer to the CAS (computer algebra system) examples we've been given, than what I've been trying to do. I just couldn't make the leap from one to the other without running into difficulties. Hopefully they'll update the material soon so that the given examples are in Maple instead.
