Question: How do I determine the intersection of span A and span B?

Consider the following 2 sets of vectors in R^4: A = {v1, v2, v3}, B = {w1, w2, v3}. You are given that A is a set of linearly independent vectors and that B is a set of linearly independent vectors.

a) The intersection of 2 sets is the set of elements that are common to both sets. Suppose u is in the intersection of span A and span B. Determine a system of equations that could be used to determine all such u.

v1 = (3,1,4,1), v2 = (5,9,2,6), v3 = (5,3,5,8), w1 = (9,7,9,3), w2 = (2,3,6,4), w3 = (6,2,8,4)

Determine the intersection of span A and span B and write your answer as the span of a set of linearly independent vectors.

I know how to solve them but I have no idea how to do them on maple. Please show steps and answers by using maple so that I can learn.
