hi im a new user to maple 12 and i am having some trouble evaluating limits.

well when i type :
limit*(x^4/(x^2+y^2), {x = 0, y = 0});
and hit enter, it doesnt give me a limit.. why is that?

also, I enter a different limit:
limit((x^2-2*y^3-4*z)/(x+y^3+2*z), {x = 2, y = 1, z = 0});
it doesnt give me a limit until i right click->limit->limit point = 0

haha im pretty confused... sometimes other limits would work fine as in :
limit((x^2-y^2)/(x^2+y^2), {x = 0, y = 0});
would show undefined right when i hit enter.
