Question: x86_64 installation problem for Maple 12.0

Hi All!

I have recently purchased Maple-12.0 (CD based) from the local reseller in India. While trying to install in my x86_64 laptop, it gives the following error

The included VM could not be extracted. Please try to download
the installer again and make sure that you download using 'binary'
mode.  Please do not attempt to install this currently downloaded copy.

The installation however proceeds if I directly run the 32-bit installer :

/media/cdrom/Linux/Disk1/InstData/VM/Maple12Linux32Installer.bin

What is the problem. As I do not enjoy the phone support (outside USA & Canada), I can noteven download the binary (as indicated in the error message) as I have not bought from the web. Any help would be very welcome
