Hi there,

I need to differentiate a summation like

sum(sum(u[i,j]^2*d[i,j]^2,j = 1 .. N),i = 1 .. c)

in relation to an arbitrary element, say u[s,t].

I usually get 0, whereas the expected response is

2*u[s,t]*d[s,t]^2.

Does anyone know if this is possible in Maple?
