Question: heat equation


everybody who read this message, please help me..

i really need your help..

i am given an assignment about heat equation and i need to solve it by using Maple.

i know nothing about Maple even never use it before.

this is the question:

Consider the heat equation ut(x,t)=0.2uxx(x,t) with the following boundary and initial condition:

u(0,t)=u(1,t)=0, t beetween 0 and 0.1

u(x,0)=100sin(pi*x), 0<x<1 take h=0.1 and k=0.01

(a) Use the explicit method to solve the above equation for values of t=0.01 to 0.1. Present your results in a table.

(b) Plot your results for t=0.01,0.02,0.06,0.09 and 0.1 in a graph.

(c) Compare your result at x=0.3 with the analytical solution

u(x,t)=100esin (pi*x)
