Question: Maple 10.06 runs extremely slow on Windows Xp system.

Maybe somebody here can help me with my problem with Maple 10.06 being extremely slow on a Windows XP MCE machine. I have bought a new Notebook with Core2Duo T7200 processor and 2GB RAM. The first problem I experienced when I installed Maple was that Maple 10.06 did not run at all due to the large physical memory on the system. This was resolved with the help from Maplesoft Support Team. They sent me a new "launch.ini" file which fixed the Maple launch issue. Now the problem I am facing is that Maple is extremely slow. For example if I click on the file menu it takes about 4 seconds before I can view the options. If I want to scroll down to the end of page in a worksheet it takes more than 20 seconds to scroll one page. Scrolling down is extremely slow. If I press “Execute the Entire Worksheet” it takes Maple ages before it finishes executing for example a one page worksheet filled with simple calculations. I have investigated a lot and I found that this slowness is due to a conflict between Maple 10.06 and SUN Java Virtual Machine (JVM) v1.5.0_11. When I uninstalled JVM from my system than maple ran extremely fast. I can scroll down 10 pages of worksheet document in one second. Now if I press “Execute the Entire Worksheet” on the same one page worksheet as before Maple finishes within 4 seconds. So currently I have removed SUN JVM. Now my question is if there is somebody here who can help me to avoid the conflict between Maple 10.06 and SUN JVM, because I need Java Virtual Machine. I don't know if installing Microsoft virtual Machine is a good idea. Note: I had before this maple on an older notebook with centrino 1.7Ghz process and 1GB Ram and there I had experience no such conflict between JVM and Mape 10. Thanks in advance. My notebook specs: Model: ASUS F3JP-AP029M (Windows XP PRO MCE) CPU: Intel Core2Duo T7200 @2Ghz. Graphics: ATI x1700 with 256 VRAM (Driver v7.2 the latest from ATI) RAM: 2GB @ 667MHz (Kingstone) Display: 15.4" WXGA TFT (1280x800) HD: SATA 160GB
