Question: install maple 9 in ubuntu linux

Hi Our university (Univ. Sao Paulo - Brazil) has license for maple 9 (not sure which release).. It can be also that the version they have is Maple 6 since there is a xmaple6 in the files (see bellow) I use in my machine Ubuntu linux, the newest version. Althoug it says it has linux support for maple, nobody was able to install it from the instructions provided from above to us, users. I will describe the situation: we get from the university a tar file containing the files root@edf:/etc/Maple/bin.IBM_INTEL_LINUX_REDHAT# ls -1 hostpatch ld-linux.so.2 libc.so.6 libdl.so.2 libICE.so.6 liblinalgmp.so liblinalg.so libMesaGL.so.2 libMesaGLU.so.2 libmplfloat.so libm.so.6 libSM.so.6 libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 libX11.so.6 libXext.so.6 libXmu.so.6 libXt.so.6 lks mapleTTY mint mplotbmp mplotchar mplotcps mplotdxf mplotgif mplothpgl mplothplj mplotjpeg mplotpcx mplotpov mplotps mplottek mplotwmf mplotx11 updtsrc xmaple6 xmaple6.res When I execute ./xmaple6 I get root@edf:/etc/Maple/bin.IBM_INTEL_LINUX_REDHAT# ./xmaple6 ./xmaple6: error while loading shared libraries: libMesaGL.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory When I execute ./mapleTTY I get ./mapleTTY: relocation error: ./mapleTTY: symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference Apparently it is not finding libraries, in the same directory. That is the situation. Could somebody help me to finish this installation? Regards Miguel Frasson Please replace this text with the link to your file. The link can be found in the File Manager
