Yes, I have tried that. What happens is that the central verctor become larger, but it does not alter the length of the vectors. So, in the end, they still become little dots. I needed something that could alter the proportionality of the field strength with the distance from the center (without actually having to plot a different field). Exactly what the "fieldstrength" comand in maple 10 does.
