@Carl Love Thank you. Indeed, it is good to know Maple is able to model those stochastic processes directly, but nothing is said about numerical solving PDEs with them...

@Rouben Rostamian  Spline interpolation definitely works, thanks! Are there any other (than splines) ways to define a numerical function in Maple?

@Rouben Rostamian  This should work for sure... was looking for a more elegant solution.... Any other ideas? In general, can a function be defined via two arrays (of a same dimension) in Maple?

For instance...

x:=[0,1,2,3,4,5]

y:=[0,2,4,6,8,10]

How can we now define the function y(x) and use it in further calculations?

@Rouben Rostamian  My question is about initial conditions given numericaly (not analytically), i.e. when u(x,0) is an array [u_1, u_2, u_3, .. u_n-1, u_n]. Can this be incorporated in pdsolve?
