I feel Maple 17 is the most important upgrade in the past 8 years. I especially like free Maple Player, Code Editor, and Subscript Handling.

Yes, I don't fully understand the functionality of SystemModeler. These comments just represent my personal point of view.

Why I said " this people ...don't fully understand the function of MapleSim."? I saw some unsupported feature in this table, but MapleSim really support it. For example, "Parallelized parameter sweeps", if you know MapleSim API (GetCompiledProc command) and Grid package, you will find it is easy to implement "Parallelized parameter sweeps" in Maple environment.

Advertising statement from Wolfram? My understanding is SystemModeler can directly integrate but now not completely integrate with this former third party product.

Mathematica's System modeller is not a mainstream modelica tool, so I suggest Maplesoft don't need to write a similar competition paper.  I also think this people who write this material don't fully understand the function of MapleSim.

As I know, MapleSim has some important superior features comparing to System modeller, such as advanced symbolic computing, many connector (include MapleSim connector for Simulink), easy to create custom component, industry component libraries, etc.

"System Modeller doesn't need to have Mathematica installed" also means that current System Modeller don't fully integrate with Mathematica.
