my posting did not display properly. the less then sign seems to be the problem. apparently it interferes with the angled brackets maple preceding and following the expression thanks

I came across this problems a week or so ago. do the following: x:=-1/3 the result gets displayed properly. right-click and choose approximate. the sign is gone tech support told me ... it will be presented to "the developers". hopefully none of them is named Godot.
